The ideal position gives you a strong, controlled pedal stroke while allowing your pelvis to remain stable. Use small changes, record what you have done, and test the bike in realistic riding conditions rather than judging the position from a brief spin around the driveway.

Why Saddle Height Matters

Saddle height determines how much your knee bends at the top and bottom of each pedal revolution. If the seat is too low, the knee stays excessively bent and the hips may rock from side to side as you try to produce power.
